This is a test archive designed to organize and archive the August 14, 2003 Northeast data collected by the blackout investigation team. Until now, the data from this historic event, have not been widely accessible. The data are confidential and sensitive so they must be resticted. The data have been classified into the 4 following sub-communities:
-Data restricted by data supplier agreement
-Data restricted to blackout investigators
-Data restricted to personnel from electricity industry organizations; and
-Data with no restrictions
Individuals who wish to gain access to data categorized under the 3 restricted communities must fill out the appropriate authorization forms to get authorized access. The permissions are maintained by the NERC but access is controlled by Cornell Archive administrators though the DSpace software. Unauthorized users can search, browse, and download unrestricted data. Restricted data, however can not be browsed, searched, or downloaded without authorization.
This archive is a valuable portal where researchers, students, and electric industry experts can download, exchange, analyze, and post data as well as derivative work. Content may be posted to the archive, but it will be subject to review.
